“I'm deeply saddened to learn of Nancy's death recently from a mutual friend , and sorrier not to have been in touch with her for many years. I worked with her at the Taper from 1979 to 1986. Her busy office was the one reliably warm, peaceful spot in our topsy-turvy work environment. That was Nancy: even as she coped with whatever Gordon, Ken, Bill, or the current production(s) threw at us, she radiated welcome, humor, grace, wisdom, and loving kindness on everyone. With love, Terri Jones”
