She is survived by: her parents, George Hamilton and Sarah Moore; her friend Vannie; her husband David Keightley; her sons, Steven and Richard; her daughters-in-law, Mari and Robin; her grandchildren, Sophie and Preston; and her brother Robert Traylor of La Jolla. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Vannie Traylor Keightley died peacefully at age 84, from complications of Alzheimer's Disease, in the early morning of October 1, 2018 in Oakland, California.
