He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Blum and Bernice Roth Blum (Roth); his stepmother Sadie Brourman Blum; his brother Robert Blum; and his parents-in-law, Harry Midanik and Sadie Gold Midanik.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Midanik; his daughters, Beth Midanik-Blum (Tristan Olson) and Amy Midanik-Blum; his granddaughter Sadie Alma Goldson; his sister Celia Blum (Larry Kahanofsky); his nieces and nephews, Brian Blum (Julie Blum), Corey Kahanofsky (Sam Williams), Jesse Kahanofsky, Brandon Blum, Kyle Blum and Evan Blum (Nicole Blum); and his close friend Larry Dickey.
