In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Sam had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Sam may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Toma Shammas and Katrina Shammas; and his siblings, Hikmat, Faiq, Allen, Faeka, Souad, Ferial and Ileen. He was also cherished by 18 Nieces and Nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. John's Chaldean Catholic Church (1763 N 1st St, El Cajon, CA 92021). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the El Cajon Cemetery (2080 Dehesa Rd, El Cajon, CA 92019). A reception was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Our Mother of Perpetual Help Syriac Catholic Church (1101 S Mollison Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020).
