He was predeceased by: his brother Robert. He is survived by: his siblings, Paul Alto and Irene Berndt; his nephew Carl Berndt of San Lorenzo; his wife Harriet Alto of Dunsmuir; his son David; his grandchildren, Ashli and Layla; his children, Patti Phelps, Lauren Wilson of Hyattsville, MD and Stephen Wilson of Calgary; and also Sarah.
