He was predeceased by: his parents, George Okada and Susie Okada; and his brother James Okada. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Okada; his siblings, Joann Higa (Kei) and Dr. Donald Okada (Marlene); and his siblings-in-law, Stan Kinoshita (Irene), Larry Kinoshita, Frances Scott (Dennis), Kathy Kinoshita (late Carl Neitzel) and Jo Anne Gooch. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
