She was predeceased by: her parents, Francisco Cerda and Cecilia Cerda (Cavazos); her husband Pedro Escalante; her children, Maria Elia Escalante, Pete Jr. and Ruben Escalante; and her grandchildren, Patrick, Ishmael and Romyn.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Vasquez, Gracie Gonzalez, Stella, Loy and Oscar Escalante; and her sister Olga Alaniz. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren, 19 great great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Dos Palos Cemetery (1800 Elgin Ave, Dos Palos, CA 93620). A reception will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
