He was predeceased by: his children, Angela Summers and Phillip Summers; his sisters, Carrie Durham, Barbara Ann Summers and Mary Margaret Brown; and his granddaughter Courtney Summers.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia; his sisters, Mary Jewel Gable (George), San Antonio and Fay Summers; his children, David Summers (Virginia), Patricia Summers, Karen Summers and Matthew Summers (Lorraine); and his stepchildren, Schaundra Nelson, Rujhn Robinson (Melissa), Demitrius Lewis (Rachel) and Durand Lewis. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
