She was predeceased by: her husband John Vitorino Machado II; and her sister-in-law Etelvina Reis of Terceira. She is survived by: her parents, George Reis and Conceicăo Reis; her husband Ricardo Pereira; her children, Rafael Machado (Maria) of Los Altos, Luci Schmidl (Kurt) of Davis, Rose Haggard (John) of Dayton and John V. Machado III (Jane) of Folsom; her grandchildren, Sara (David), James, Kasey (Seth), Lauren, Valerie, Nikki, Kelly, Andy and Jennifer; her great grandchildren, Rosalie, Adam, Emma and Claire; and her brother Julio Reis.
