He is survived by: his parents, Charles B. Hankins and Emma Louise Brinkley Hankins; his children, Claude Jr., Douglas, Bobby Joe, Ted, Sergeant, Retired James T. Hankins, Margaret Ruth, Maxine, Brenda Sue and Mary Ann Montgomery; his wife Loretta Jean; his daughters, Laura Louise and Lisa Jean Whitt; his sister-in-law Audrey Jean Hankins of El Paso; and his close friend Paul Patterson of Tazewell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces.
