It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Joseph Hillyer of Discovery Bay, California, who passed away on August 25, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though James Joseph may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James Joseph touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Francisco (Aileen Hillyer) and San Francisco; and his daughter Valerie Hillyer. He is survived by: his wife Norma Hillyer (Leukemia); his son James Patrick Hillyer (Judy Sarmiento); and his daughters-in-law, Debbie Zaro and Shelly Weeks. He is also survived by family members and lifelong friends.
