She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Huerta (Menchaca) and Salvador Huerta; her husband George R. Chavez; her son Matthew Chavez; and her grandson Scott Quicksall.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Rouse, Karen Madrid, George Chavez Jr., Monica Chavez, Timothy Chavez and Bertha Hoeppner; and her siblings, Gloria Rodriguez, Lucy De Luna, Felix Huerta, Sarah Ponce, Nellie Martinez and Isabel Huerta. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dopkins Funeral Chapel (189 S J St, Dinuba, CA 93618). A wake will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the New Life Community Church (110 N Nichols Ave, Dinuba, CA 93618).
