He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludmila Halla and Josef Halla; and his son Alan Joseph "Jojo" Halla Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Laraine Ann Afan Halla; his daughter Tiffany Ann Halla Foster; his grandchildren, Alan Alexander Vega Halla, Farrah Ann and Eva Moon Foster; and his sister Liba Halla Dymanus.
