He is survived by: his wife Dawn Byrne Zarate; his daughter Tina Craig; his son-in-law Roy Craig of Brookings, Oregon; his stepdaughters, Danielle Manzanedo and Lindsey Manzanedo of Merced; his granddaughter Tiffany Lander; his husband Nate Lander; his grandchildren, Matthew Craig of Brookings, Oregon, Annalise Ramos and Nathaniel Cortez; his great grandchild Grace Marie Lander of Brookings; and his siblings, Robert Zarate of Modesto, Charlie Zarate of Merced, Mary Duarte of Hilmar, Eleanor Reinero of Merced, Juanita Thrasher (Randal) of Atwater and Raymond Zarate of Planada. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, their spouses and their children.
