He was predeceased by: his wife Kathryn Purdom; his son Jay Purdom; and his brothers, Edward Purdom, Lonnie Purdom and Tom Purdom.

He is survived by: his children, David of Delhi, Robert of Lakewood, WA and Valerie of Whittier. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
