He was predeceased by: his parents, Morima Kono and Shizuko Kono. He is survived by: his wife Chikako Kono; his children, Marisa Kono (Gilbert Frutoz) and Douglas Kono; his sister Mariko Nomura; his nephew Craig Nomura (Beverly); and also, Ikaika and Ian Nomura.
