We are sad to announce that on November 8, 2021, at the age of 93, Harold Dudley Nelson (Delano, California) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria Bordson Nelson; his son Larry Nelson; his son-in-law Jeff Sampson; his parents, Herman Truelsen Nelson (Knag) and Thyra Catrine Petersen (Petersen); and his sister Dorothea Wilkinson.

He is survived by: his daughter Denmark; his son-in-law Bruce; his daughters, Cheryl Burk and Cathy Whiteaker (Bruce Whiteaker); his grandchildren, Greg Burk (Vickie Burk), Melissa Fry (David Fry), Joseph Sampson (Rakel Sampson), Nathan Sampson (Joy Sampson), Benjamin Sampson (Sara Kozakiewicz), Abigail Sandoval (Robert Sandoval), Susannah Watson (Audie Watson), Catrina Smith (Jason Smith), Carissa Kelley (Cory Kelley), Scott Nelson Burk, Leslie Nelson Burk and Maren Hadar (Ronen Hadar); and his great grandchildren, Mikaela Stern (Wesley Stern), Katelyn Burk, Madison Fry, William Fry, Carson Fry, Elizabeth Sampson, Amanda Sampson, Judah Sampson, Jaron Sampson, Zach Sampson, Lily Sampson, Liam Walker, Ryan Sandoval, Camryn Watson, Kylie Martin, Jakob Watson, Kenneth Smith, Mckenna Smith, Brooklyn Smith, Cadyn Kelley, Danielle Hadar and Ian Hadar.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harold's name to the Huckleberry Water and Development Association to help with tract restoration at Huntington Lake following the devastating Creek Fire that destroyed the family cabin and 43 others as well.
