He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Edwin Symens and Gladys Bernice Symens (Kroeger); his brother Woodrow; and his children, John, Cindy and Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his grandson Jayson Lamoree (Jennifer); and his sisters, Sandra and Christine. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
