Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Joan leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Charles and Lily May Mann; her husbands, Dr. John McGiff and William Sullivan; and her son John Joseph "Jack" McGiff. She is also survived by children, 13 cherished grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Church St. Isidore Catholic Church (440 La Gonda Wy, Danville, CA 94526).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joan's honor to the Dr. John McGiff Scholarship Fund, Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue, or Hospice of the East Bay.
