Pablo Rios Obituary
Pablo Rios was born on January 26, 1950 in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico. He lost his father to a tragic death and began working to help his mother provide for his siblings at the young age of seven. It was while working that he laid eyes on his future wife, Maria. They married on November 25, 1965 and were together for 58 loving years. Together they created a beautiful family consisting of 9 children, 26 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Pablo immigrated to the United States in 1972 and put down roots in San Francisco, with his wife, to raise their family. He immigrated to the U.S. seeking a better life for his family and did amazingly well while helping many others along the way. He worked many jobs, including as a janitor for many years, but was always looking for ways to improve. He ultimately went back to school and became a utility engineer.
After raising his children, he spent his later years doing what he loved most; traveling. Pablo did anything, from spontaneous trips to Disneyland with his grandchildren to experiencing new countries all over the world. He traveled to Rome, Egypt, Peru, Turkey, Australia, all over Mexico, and many other places, including the holy land. He enjoyed traveling with his brother, his children but most of all, with the love of his life. He spent his last years raising his adopted daughter and making beautiful memories with his family. Pablo was a hard-working, generous man, with a smile that lit up any room he entered. He was witty and knew how to make people smile even on days when he wasn't feeling his best.
Pablo died, peacefully, surrounded by the love of his devoted family on April 10, 2024. He is survived by an incredible amount of family and friends who admired and adored him.
