He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Morgan Shirley and Juan Shirley; and his son Leo Roy "Chief" Shirley. He is survived by: his wives, Katherine Hotch and Katherine Shirley; his children, Darlene Navarro (Mark Navarro), Randy Shirley (Cherie Jalipa) and Tricia Shirley (Michael Wong); his grandsons, Adrian Navarro (PoeunTak-Navarro) and Victor Shirley; his great grandchildren, ChoeunTak-Navarro and KayeilTak-Navarro; his sister Nellie Big House Begay; and his adoptive children, Julius Sanchez and Lynn Truong. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
