With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mitzie Tanizawa of Cypress, California, who passed away on May 15, 2021 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kinuko Taniguchi and Yoshito Taniguchi; her daughter Nancy; her husband Kazuo; and her brothers, Masato, Kenso and George Taniguchi.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Tanizawa (Carol), Barbara Konishi (Rick) and Laurie Fujitani; her grandchildren, Shari Hunter (Brian), Randy Tanizawa, Yukimi "Kimi", Alex Konishi, Caitlin and Jared Fujitani; her great grandchild Caliyah Hunter; her grandson Kyle Fujitani; her niece Donna Johnson; her sisters, Chieko Whittemore and Sachi Oyama (Jun); and her sister-in-law Joanne Nakamura (Ron).
Funeral services will be held on October 23, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Orange County Buddhist Church, however attendance is still limited due to Covid restrictions, so live streaming is available on the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us.
