Augustine S. Angeles Obituary
Augie passed away at home peacefully Sunday March, 26, 2023. He was raised in Mountain View, California, and was a member of the Mountain View Boys Club where he began boxing in 1947. He boxed amateur, Golden Gloves, and became professional in 1953. He was so proud to have boxed in Madison Square Garden. Augie loved golf and was a member of the Mexican American Golf Association (MAGA). He was also a proud member of the 'Estrella Club' and life member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters.He is preceded in death by his parents Merenciano and Catarina, 9 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife Felicia (his honey) of 67 years; daughter Linda (Kathy) and son Joesph; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Rosary Service will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 6:00pm at LIMA & CAMPAGNA SUNNYVALE MORTUARY, 1315 Hollenbeck Ave, Sunnyvale. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, April 5 at 12:00pm at ST. JOSEPH OF CUPERTINO CATHOLIC CHURCH, 10110 N. De Anza Blvd., Cupertino. Burial to follow at SANTA CLARA MISSION CEMETERY, 490 Lincoln St., Santa Clara.
