She was predeceased by: her husband Chikara "Chico" Masai; her parents, Togao Kobayashi and Tsugio Kobayashi; and her siblings, Shunichi "Shrink" Kobayashi, Shizuko "Shiz" Uyeno, Shinzo "Pee Wee" Kobayashi, Toshitsugu "Toko" Kobayashi and Nobuko "Nobie" Hazama.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Masai (Heidi), Dawn Sera (Jon) and Kathy Irei (Michael); her grandchildren, Riki Goetsch (Brandon), Ashley Mote (Jesse), Shayna Thompson, Kelly, Keith, Kayla Sera, Christopher and Kory Irei; and her brother Toshihiko "Hiko" Kobayashi. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
