With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Alexander Pope Jr. of Coronado, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 26, 2024 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald A. Pope and Emma C. Wilson Pope; and his grandsons, Bradly Mac VanEpps and Daniel Austin Pope. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Anne Reed; his children, Lori Lynn Nelson (Robert), Loni Lee Moffet (Steve) and Daniel Pope; his siblings, Kenneth Pope (Terry) and Virginia Daniel (Roger); and his grandchildren, Kenny Jones, Jenny Jones, Leigh Ann Hendley and Janet Leigh VanEpps. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family.
A committal service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Miramar National Cemetery (5795 Nobel Dr, San Diego, CA 92122). The military honors will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
