He was predeceased by: his parents, Cmdr and Naval; and his grandson Mathew Clay Rodes. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte; his sons, William (Vivian) and Charlie (Molly); and his grandchildren, Patrick (Megan), Emily (Dylan), Murphy, Mary Ford, Jack, Caywood and Steven.
