He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Cano and Lena Cano; his sisters, Virgie, Ruth and Annie; and his grandson Samuel Cano.
He is survived by: his wife Jenny Cano; his children, Richard Jr., Theresa, Manuel and Gloria; and his brothers, Bobby, Ruben and Henry. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
