It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Magdaleno Barajas Cortes (Corona, California), who passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Magdaleno Cortés Baez, Sr. and Rafaela Cortés (Barajas); his close friend Jerome Reiter; and his siblings, Esther, Aurora and Gilberto.

He is survived by: his wife Glenda; his brother Jorge; his brother-in-law Sebastian; his children, Hernán (Karen) of Livermore, CA and Michelle (Chris) of Jurupa Valley, CA.; his sisters-in-law, Martha Perez of Hermosillo, Maricela Nuñez of Mesa, AZ, Olga Gutierrez of San Gabriel, CA, Maria Espinoza of Menifee, CA, Dena Lamarque of San Dimas, CA and Evelia Burnett of Brea, CA; his brother Daniel Alvarez (Leticia); and also Eunice Bustamante of La Mirada, CA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
