He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jesús Álvarez Muñoz and Margarita Partida Serrano; his wife Maria Méndez Álvarez; his children, Faustino Méndez Álvarez, Martha Leticia Méndez Álvarez, Silvia Méndez Álvarez and Gloria Méndez Álvarez Guzmán; and his siblings, Jesús Partida Álvarez, Antonia Álvarez Chavez and Ninfa Contreras. He was also cherished by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
