He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earl Patterson and Velma Patterson; his sisters, Joan and Carol; his wife Jeanette; his children, Catherine, James and Jeremy; and his grandchildren, Helen, Steve, Westley and Xander. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
