He is survived by: his children, Melvin Jones Sr. and LeeAnn Welch; his grandchildren, Tahmel Jones (Dulce), Shameka McCoy (Jamal), Sharonda, LaNesha Burns, Candis Slaughter (Corlen), Melvin Jr., Marlin Jones and Esme Jones; and his friend Mary Clinton. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
