She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Willie Criss and Florence Spencer Criss; her spouse Haywood Curtis; her daughter Janis Thomas; and her grandchildren, Ernest Curtis, Tracy Howard, Tarjsha Campbell, Melanie Thomas, Yolanda Thomas and Nakaya Lee. She was also cherished by 11 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
