She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Ruelas and Alberto Frescas; her husband Art Torres; her daughter Yvonne Sweet; and her sisters, Margaret Ramirez and Vera Pena.
She is survived by: her daughter Audrey Taylor Carrion (Allen); her close friend Bill Henry; her children, Art Torres (Yolanda), Chris Gray, Sylvia Ybarra (Frank), Vivian Rodriguez and Deneen Torres (Ascencion); and her grandchildren, Maria Godinez, Anna Vasquez (Jesus), Juanita Artamenko, Jason Ybarra (Paloma), Eric Ybarra (Jennifer), Artie Torres (Amber), Teresa Torres, Marcelo "Moose" Rodriguez, Steven Torres, Leticia Valenzuela (Manny) and Adrian Torres. She is also survived by 22 Great Grandchildren, 13 Great Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
