He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. and Margaret; and his sister Patricia Millard. He is survived by: his wife Jan; his grandchildren, Adam, Rick, Mark, Moriah, Mattea, Allison and Aubrey; his sister Peggy Mosko; and his sister-in-law Sue Schneider. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
