He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Barnes and Daisy Barnes; his son Kenneth "Duke"; his sister Dorothy Anderson; and his son-in-law Ed Marson.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy of Auburn; his daughter Connie Marson of Colfax; his siblings, Robert "Bud" Barnes of Auburn, Irene Purcell of Weimar and Betty Campbell of Lincoln; his granddaughters, Carissa Marson (Dave) of Auburn and Stacey Kaping (Cole) of Orangevale; and his great grandchildren, River, Haven and Lilly.
