He was predeceased by: his wife Tamara Wanda Toomer; his parents, Joseph Toomer and Vernona Toomer; and his brothers, Gary Joseph Toomer, James Lee Toomer and Ric Toomer.

He is survived by: his sons, Corey Toomer, Christopher Toomer, Jeffrey Toomer and Shawn Toomer; and his sisters, Lila Hodson and Linda Fattouch.
