He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Cruz; his sons, Gregory Lopez and Edward Lopez; and his parents, Seneriano Cruz and Isabel Cruz.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Lopez (Eleanor), Saundra Aguayo (Zacarias), Debra Borjas and Leticia Ambriz; and his siblings, Juanita Castillo and Ramon Cruz.
