Darlene Hanes wrote a sympathy message

“After the death of my Father in Ukiah, CA, my brother, Rick, allowed me to bring my Mother to Clovis, CA for hospice care. I had a precious 6.5 weeks with my Mom to talk about old times and comfort her until she passed in Clovis. She had a peaceful look and a smile on her face. She attended church with me four Sundays and met my church family. My friends visited her and comforted her with bible passages and Christain music which she loved. She looked forward to visits with AseraCare's Chaplain, Dominic. He had a beautiful voice and would sing to her. I left their visits private and she shared many concerns with him. I asked Dominic to visit the day before Mom passed. He sang Amazing Grace to Mom. We could hear him singing from the kitchen and thought it was on the radio! She was a great Mom and sacrificed for her five kids and protected us to the best of her ability. She was married 62 years and had a hard time with Dad in heaven before her. She was looking forward to seeing her Mother and Father. I asked her to give Loriann a kiss for me, too. Mom said, "Babe, I don't want to leave you all alone." I said, "Mom, I'm never alone. God is always with me and I have my church family." She never worried about that again. I am relieved knowing Mom is in God's kingdom and whole.”
