He is survived by: his wife Linda Franks; his children, Cindy Collier (Chris) and Stephen Franks (Tami); his grandchildren, Cristen Liess (Jory), Macy Collier, Jon Hollis, Tyler Collier, Stephen Franks and Jack Franks; and his great grandchild Lennon Liess.

He lived with Parkinson's for 10 years.
