He was predeceased by: his wife Stella Messer; and his brothers, Thomas Brown, Glen Messer and L. G. Messer. He is survived by: his daughters, Liz Ann Lampkin of Clovis, CA and Shirley Stine (Kemet) of Bigfork, MT; his sister Magnolia Anderson (Samuel) of Canton, NC; his grandchildren, Andrew (Michele), Tony, Elizabeth (Stewart), Andriana (Adam), Geoff (Mary Kate), Chris (Trinity) and Clara; and his great grandchildren, Justin, Shane, William, Aelish and Luca. He is also survived by numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews.
