He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Barnes and Annette E. Barnes; and his brother Dennis P Barnes. He is survived by: his sister Sheila Barnes; his stepchildren, Melissa Briggs, Angela, Jeff Sjoblom, Daniel and Terra Briggs; and his stepgrandchildren, Helen, Heidi, Hanna Briggs, Tauno and Molly Sjoblom. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
