Doc" Eagle, 76, of Clearlake, passed away September 22, 2018, at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Borger, Texas, on February 6, 1942, to Edna and Melvin Eagle. Carroll spent his childhood years on his family's ranch in Arlington, Colorado. In 1960 Carroll graduated high school in Arlington. He received a bachelor's degree from Colorado State University, before attending U.C. Davis where he received his doctorate in veterinarian medicine. Carroll worked at a veterinary practice in Woodside, California, before moving to Clearlake with his wife, Cindy, to open their own veterinary practice. Carroll was the owner and veterinarian of Animal Hospital of Lake County for 22 years. Carroll was a founding member of Clearlake Community Patrol. He coached Little League for a number of years. Carroll was involved with local car racing teams and a member of a local bowling team. In his free time, Carroll enjoyed spending time with his family and pets. He also enjoyed playing golf, fishing, gardening, and attending his children's sporting events. Carroll is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cindy; daughter, Jennifer (Ryan) Monzingo; grandson, Jacob; son, Daniel (Taylor) Eagle; and numerous friends and family members. Carroll is preceded in death by his father, Melvin, and his mother, Edna. Memorial Service will be held October 7, at 1 p.m., at Jones and Lewis Mortuary in Lower Lake, with a gathering following the service. Memorial donations in memory of Carroll can be made to the Clearlake Police Department K-9 fund.
