He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Newman and Arlene Newman (Pio); his wife Cecilia Gilbert Newman; and his son Danny Newman. He is survived by: his close friend Marga Thrasher; his children, Gael Graysen, Brady Newman (Laura Newman) and Kerry Lawrence; and his grandchildren, Dawn Furtado, David Newman, Catherine Newman, Evan Lawrence and Steven Newman. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
