It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Pierre Sanchotena of Chowchilla, California, who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joaquin Miguel Sanchotena and Jeromina Aguerrebere. He is survived by: his siblings, Aita, Joaquin, Ama, Jeromina, Serapio, Michel, Ignacio, Marie, Francois, Dominica, Jeanne, Martin, Joseph and Dominique; his wife Adelaida; his children, Freddy Ayon, Virginia Ramirez, Mary Sanchotena Aguirre, Anita Sanchotena Marticorena, John Sanchotena and Albert Sanchotena; and his sister Katrine Arastoa (France). He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, many nephews and nieces.
