He was predeceased by: his parents, Bulan Owens and Geneva Owens; and his son Jesse Lee Tesnear. He is survived by: his spouse Socorro Owens of Chowchilla; his children, Douglas Owens of Madera, Richard Owens of Sacramento, Duane Tesnear of Chowchilla, Alvin Tesnear of Chowchilla and Nellie Raper of Chowchilla; his sister Faye Tesnear of Fresno; and his niece Robin Tesnear of Clovis. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
