He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Coronado; his son Angel Garza; his parents, Refugio Garza and Cresencia Gauna; and his siblings, Johnny, Joe, Tony, Margaret and Delia.
He is survived by: his children, Benito Garza, David Coronado, Cresto Velasco, Arthero Garza, Isabel Garza, Michael Garza, Benny Garza, Johnny Garza, Lusita Coronado, Juanita Garza and Evelyn Torres; and his siblings, Roman, Manuel, Mary, Virgins, Flora, Sara, Sylvia and Santos. He is also survived by 36 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
