He was predeceased by: his parents, William Deffee and Josefa Deffee; his wife Stella Deffee; his daughter Cherlyn "Sheri" Crider; and his siblings, Bernadine "Nina" Fernandez, Daniel "Dan" Deffee, Olivia "Olive" Murida and George "Duff" Deffee.
He is survived by: his daughter Denise Richards; and his sister Ofelia "Toby" Heidelmeier. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
