She was predeceased by: her mother Helen Buis; her stepfather Derrald Buis; and her brother Derrald "Larry" Buis. She is survived by: her husband Tony Paiva; her sister Frances Martin of Temecula; and her daughters, Kerri Paiva of Chico, Kelly Gilbert (Mark Gilbert) of Orland and Marianne Paiva (Matthew Bently) of Chico. She is also survived by her friends, children, and grandchildren.
