He was predeceased by: his siblings, Raymond and Beth (Engle). He is survived by: his wife Marcia; his daughters, Jennifer Schwertman (Aaron Duncan) and Amy La Russa (Vincent La Russa); his granddaughter Matilda La Russa; his nephew James Engle; and his nieces, Beth DuPont and Laurie Fischer.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (285 E 5th St, Chico, CA 95928).
He was elected as a Fellow in the American Statistical Association, received a grant from the National Science Foundation and was the recipient of many awards, including Professional Achievement Honors.
