She was predeceased by: her husband Bobby E. Pace of Wasilla, Alaska; her daughter Maria Sauer of Fairbanks, Alaska; her siblings, Luis Balmaceda and Carmen Balmaceda; and her parents, José Casimiro Balmaceda Barahona of Colón, Panama. and Lilia Raquel Dumanoir of Colón, Panama..
She is survived by: her siblings, Jose Casimiro Balmaceda Dumanoir (Panama) of Panama City and Inés Balmaceda Dumanoir (Puerto Rico) of Isabela; and her children, Lily Eskelsen (Alberto Garcia), Cecilia Pace of Chico, California, Denise (Bryan McDougal), Bobby (Susan Pace) and Joseph Pace of Lake Waukomis, Missouri.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Our friends became her friends. And she loved her girlfriends at her Healthy Steps exercise class which she continued into her 90s even when COVID forced them to meet on Zoom.
In lieu of flowers, mom asked that gifts be considered for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
